Our grey RID mare gave birth on Tuesday to a lovely filly, by Avanti Amerous Archie.
she has hazel coloured eyes, with markings that we feel may possibly be similar to the Champagne colour.
We are pretty clueless on genetic colours, but our mare has had a dun foal previously.
I haven’t managed to get a really good close up on her eyes, but the coat colour also seems different to most foals that go grey, with the limited knowledge I have.
Anyone who knows more than us about genetics, any input appreciated.

I don't have a clue about colour genetics but she's a super colour right now and looks to have a fantastic shoulder. Congratulations!

Baby eyes can be misleading ;) and will usually darken. Champagne is a new world dilution so not one that we generally have/see and not in IDs (it also causes coat dilution and mottled skin).

By 'dun' do you mean buckskin?

Get a less sunny pic and we can prob say if grey or not.

thanks Ester. Will try with the less sunny shot!
She is quite mottled around her eyes and mouth.
Her last foal, whom we didn’t breed was registered as Dun,with the Irish sport horse register, so sadly I can’t be clearer than that.

There is dun or Nd1 in RIDs I have seen one or two stallions that are phenotypically dun (one gorgeous red dun). As far as I am aware there is no effect of dun on eye colour. Who knows what's hiding under the grey. Do you know what colour your grey was when she was born or before she greyed out. I try and remember which RID lines have the dun.
Best place to look for grey hairs is around the eyes and tail head but it can be hard to tell. Do they have a dorsal stripe?

Cluneyhea stud have dun RID stallions although they may be Nd1. Seems to be through Arthurs Gold.

Yup I know re. dun hence asking for clarification if the OP knew given true dun pretty rare.

Looks like the dam Arthur's queen is a full sibling to Arthur's gold. I'd have sworn that that horse was Nd1 as the dorsal doesn't appear to continue into the tail bit there we go!
Now I'm unsure of myself lol as to which may be more or less rare, def seem to be some creams. But I thought the guys below sire looked more buckskin than dun but this offspring is tested dun lol.
not Arthur's gold but other Arthurs?

Stunning foal OP I wouldn't be surprise if they are buckskin going grey but it is a difficult one.
