I have a tb x cob gelding who was 3 at the end of March. Personally I think he is a little immature bodywise but I dont really know? He is bay(as you can see) but I've started to notice he is covered in white hairs, could he really be changing colour at this age?! I know you cant see on the pictures that he has white hair..

If he was a proper Roan (with the Roan gene) he'd have been born roan.

Have a look at this.

ETA This page has sabino on. http://www.whitehorseproductions.com/ecg_basics3.html#pinto

Sabino is a pattern that comes in many forms. In its minimal form, it only manifests itself as small socks and a star or blaze, if that. More extreme sabinos will have white patches, often with roaned edges, creeeping up their sides from the underside of the belly. The most extreme sabinos will look entirely white or nearly so, often retaining a few patches of color along their toplines, particularly on the ears or in the mane.

hes got a small white patch on his side almost under his belly, and like a creamy stripe under his belly, his tail is kinda like grey and black and so are his legs

My chestnut mare is a chestnut sabino and she has white flecks through her coat and a couple of small roany patches. In the winter you can't see the flecks much but they show more in her summer coat. Possibly this is the same with your horse and you can see the flecks now his summer coat is coming through?
