Can I clarify with the colour taliban - what colour is The Tank?

Sire is Pink Panthar (ID x Ardennes)

Dam is a dark brown colour (ID x WBxTB)

I always just assumed he is strawberry roan - am I wrong?

definitely a bay roan as solid colour on face and lower legs. White markings are allowed but not roaning to the face I think. The colour is that of a bay and not a chestnut which is what a strawberry roan is based on as in the horse in my siggy.

Another vote for bay roan.

Our little mare said bay on her passport, then she went roan, then dapple and finally white by the age of 9!

I had so much trouble with my grey as people wouldn't beieve that she was grey when she was in her pink yearling coat. They insisted that she was SR even when I said that her sire was grey.

As mentioned in a post above, her head and legs - as she has no socks - weren't solid chestnut as they would be with a roan.

Anyhoo, those same people were quite shocked when she looked like this the following year!. ;)

I love Nits. :D How's she doing now? F-B was being all grown up yesterday and giving the gelding a lead past some pretty scary (according to him ;) ) stuff.

She is absolutely fine. Very full of it and being quite norty but in terms of soundness/health all a-ok. She had her wolf taken out last week and I'm hoping farrier will come and put some front shoes on her this week so we can crack on a bit.

If it stops raining today I am going to take her for her first hack solo (OH will walk with us!) as she is so bold that I don't see much reason to carry on begging other people to come with us.
