I need help finding collared feed buckets.
have those shallow tubtrugs buckets for feeds, I soak grass/ alfalfa pelltets in them so they need to be water tight. I am finding that tubtrugs get slits in really easily and then leak. I do have black rubber feed skips that I like but problem is I need 8 different colours to differentiate between horses. I have tried electrical tape on handles but some take great pleasure in chewing it off. I already have black so 7 colours. Tubtrugfs handles break easy too.

I use these https://redgorilla.red/small-shallow-gorilla-tub-15l/p7 as like you each horse has their own colour feed bucket. I find they do last pretty well but some horses do seem to destroy them more than others. I also previously did what you did and put different coloured electric tape on the handles of the rubber feed skips. I also painted the horses name on the outside of the rubber skip but I don't like them as much as the trug type feed buckets as I find them harder to keep clean.

I've also used thse https://www.amazon.co.uk/ProStable-...eywords=shallow+bucket&qid=1682515449&sr=8-36 but took the handles off but they tended to split too.

Those are the ones that aren’t lasting. Currently need a replacement red and green

Coloured cable ties on the handles work well; mine have been on for years and none have come off
I did think that too, if the electrical tape is being slobbered off as opposed to chewed, then the cable ties could work. Just make sure the tail is properly cut off flat and level with the body of the zip tie though, bloody things are like razor blades when not cut off properly. I'm still yet to get revenge on whoever did half a job on the cable ties in a server rack I reached in to and shredded myself on....

I've been really impressed with mine from rainbowtrugs.com - I reluctantly changed from black rubber buckets as it got too confusing feeding four horses twice a day. I was a bit dubious but they're now a year old and still going strong!

Just to say that I have three horses, three named plastic feed buckets in very different colours (yellow, blue, pink), and I STILL on occasion get the horses' feeds mixed up 🙃.
Me too
I always line up the bowls in the same order to make the feeds, but even so I can think 'This stuff goes in H's bowl' and still I put it in G's bowl

We tried the cheap coloured small bowls but they didn't last then we ended up with 20 horses on full livery so we asked each owner to buy 2 black rubber bowls, we then painted the horses names on them with white paint and I still have 1 bowl with my old horses name on from 20 years ago, granted it does have a small slit on the side but it's really fared well I would say.😁

I have to have them lined in up in a specific order and place on the feed room then stacked in stable order, or the order I feed them in. Works though as last winter we had 18 in however I am the only one who can do feeds hence why I need to make it more idiot proof.

I've had my coloured tub trugs for over 10 years and they've never split or anything.
I get the 14L ones - I soak grass nuts in them regularly.
One of my stands on them/throws them and chews on them and I'm only replacing them now.
I've just bought each horse 5 each but love the idea of 3 coloured rubber skips above. Maybe a Christmas present

Really? Maybe they are made differently now but mine only last a couple of months.

I use the 14l trugs, and just accept that I need to replace them fairly regularly. I've got 14 to feed twice a day, so a different colour per horse is vital.
Some of mine have lasted years, and some only last a few months - it depends on the horse thats eating out of the bucket!
