Does anyone here have any feedback on this stud? good or bad. any info greatly appreciated. Possibly have a couple of mares going there and want to know peoples experiences/ the studs reputation.

feel free to pm me for more details.

thanks!!

I have known Vicki and Mark for a few years now and their horses are their priority and although I have not used them as a stud, can vouch for them as people.

Hope this helps.

Interesting, because a friend has just found out that a mare she & another person bought from them have now both been scanned in-foal. Sadly the owners are now being VERY VAGUE over the circumstances!!

Both mares were sold to be ridden horses NOT broodmares and there was no mention from previous stud owners that these mares had even been near a colt let alone running around with the stallion Dashing Dane. The evidence was found on Utube when they clearly saw their mares in the same feild as the stallion.

Well we will see what sort of people they are, when they cough up for the vets bills!!

PS - The owners have removed the video, but it was too late as it has already been copied. And what sort of stud breeds a load of horses with unknown breeding, just check out NED 18 horses with the prefix Brynhaul none have any breeding recorded, so much for raising breeding standards in the UK.

in response to this thread we have spoken to the owners of the mares that were in foal..offered full refunds..but were told they were thrilled and wanted to keep the mares..so offered to lend horses to them whilst the horses were out of action..the one horse we offered was working at elementary level dressage...as for the pedigrees..the mare have excellent pedigrees .. we now only breed pedigrees..with very well selected lines..and very few!...we feel that the writer of this thread should have looked further into this situation before posting an unfair post..how could we have been fairer offering full refunds ..or lending a horse whilst theirs were out of action..how many studs would offer that!!..also the video on you tube was filmed in 2010 so any foals would have been already on the ground!!

Well I am pleased you have spoken to them and offered them compensation. As we both know that was not the case when I posted. As for excellent pedigrees, well they are TB mares, one I dont think made it to the track & the other failed to impress. They are ten a penny going for a few hundred pounds. Nope, think I will stick with my original thoughts on what sort of breeder acts in this way. And I am not surprised they wanted to keep them, for one of them they worked very hard with her as she almost refused to be ridden!! Luckily for the mare they are very symphathetic in their handling otherwise it could of been a different story. That is just one reason why it was irresponsible to stick mares out with a stallion then sell them on without passing that information onto the new owners. Fancy letting them wait all these months to find out!!

just to clarify you posted the thread on the 5th nov ..my offer of a full refund was made to her mother on the 2nd of november as soon as we were told of the situation...on the 2nd we offered a full refund..or we offered to have the mares back and foal them here whilst lending them horses to ride in the meantime so that they didnt need to go without a riding horse.. the mare you are talking about was sold straight from the field with no guarantees as to her riding ability as we had never tried her..in fact the first time we saw her sat on was the day she was viewed....i am so sorry we seem to have offended you..but we have spoken at great length to both sisters and they are telling me how happy they are ..in fact the one with the mare i think you are talking about told me she was planning to put her in foal maybe next year so is happy ...both horses were sold at rock bottom prices .. they were sold cheaply as we knew they would have good homes.....

I was speaking with them on the 4th & that is not quiet the story relayed, but I am not offended? All I did was question the situation when we are meant to be responsible breeders. It still does not answer the question why you would sell on mares that had been running with a stallion & not mention that fact? I think this is now best put to bed, because it is only going round & round. At least once you have issued them certificates they can reg the offspring with Weatherbys.

there must have been crossed wire here somewhere ..i have the message to the mother on facebook and her replies ..all dated 02/11...clearly offering refunds ..which were refused..if anyone wishes i will copy and paste as proof...and as for breeding indiscriminately ..one foal went to the royal london champion horse of great britain.and the east of england 2011.another the north west festival of the horse and so on....and you say there were 18 NEd horses..4 of the ones you mentioned were brynhaulwen not brynhaul..nothing to do with us....hope this is the end of this ...thanks
