COLOURED STALLION FOR TB MARE

We have a TB Gunner B mare who we have used Sambertino on. I looked around for ages and Sambertino shone thro the rest for me even tho he is not homozygous he is homozygous black which means you wouldnt get a chestnut. We have had 2 bay fillies and 2 coloured colts from Sambertino on 2 different TB mares. They all move, the 3 that we have taken to the BEF Futurity have all done well and twice we have had top eventing foal of the day and the plain bay filly had the highest score of the day across all ages and disciplines. I would always choose quality of the stallion and not just colour, hence the 4 Sambertino babies here!

Thank you very much! They are rather a nice gang! with fab temperaments too! Sorry pics are random sizes not very good at re sizing them! As i say, when i was looking for a coloured and believe me i looked very hard, Sambertino was the only boy for the girls, i have met the man himself too in the flesh and he is delightful! Cheryl who owns him at Flax Lion Stud is the best ever to deal with too, very helpful!

If you were set on using a homozygous stallion then Ringo is a very good choice in my opinion for a TB mare. Everything i have seen out of a TB mare by him i have really liked and many of his offspring have gone on to do really well competing. There are a lot of really nice coloured stallions out there producing high numbers of coloured offspring but you are limited if you will only use a homozygous stallion.
Everything i have seen by Sempers Spirit has been really nice too. Cant comment on the above stallion as not seen any offspring

Not that I would ever advise breeding colour over quality but if it HAS to be homozygous then I would look at either Goshka Ringo or Sempers Spirit.

Would agree with the above two. From those mentioned so far they are the only ones who have proven themselves in their progeny. Sempers Spirit especially who's youngstock brought good prices at last years Brightwells sale.

If you dont mind shipping in, then you have "Chess M" that stands at Gestüt Falkenhorst.

Chess is available this season with Andreas Mueller (Brookhouse Stud) to have him at a reputable EU stallion station for the collection and shipping, as last year I fell into the hands of a huge fraudster and the states attorney is working on all the frauds this guy has done.

So this year all that have not gotten semen, foals or pregnancies from Chess, they will have free stud fee.

presumably it is me being my usual incompetent self, but I found that a very odd site to navigate, HUGE pages.

Nice to see that Jill is still going strong with the stud, when I first used her horses she had Checkmate and Path of Condi and that was ohhhhhhhh, 18 or so years ago.
