John Whitaker's showjumper Utah Van Erpekom (sp!)
also ISH Glenhill Gold is a really nice coloured eventer
edited to add Freespirit by Jumbo standing at Grafham stud
Well of course I'm bias but have to recomend Umenno as has a 53 blood percentage, qualified for Burghley Young Event Horse, pulled in 12th at the finals as a four year old.. has showjumped up to 1.20 in Switzerland so far as well as qualifying for the six year old Swiss National championships winning the class. Fabulous temperament, powerful movement, has been shown the length and breadth of the country, winning in solid sport horse classes under saddle championship after championship even against the older entrants. His progeny have gone on to do the same in both coloured and solid sport horse and hunter classes. His foals are ideal for first time breeders as they they are so amicable, calm and easy to work with.... but perhaps their greatest quality is perhaps their movement........
of course their are lots of other lovely coloured stallions out there too and next year we will be standing his homozygous son Buenno who's full brother has shown exceptionally well in England and who's dam is the lovely Edwina....
Agreed Phanten is nice, I went to see him when I was looking for a stallion for B's first foal. He has an incredible backend over a fence!
If you are breeding for eventing and the mare is light enough, then Goshka Ringo is lovely stamp of a horse, with a temperament to die for! I'm more than pleased with my filly by him this year. Also, this is his last year in the UK.
I have used Ringo www.goshka.co.uk and been very pleased with the resulting foals. I would use him on a Tb or Trakehner stamp of mare.
I used Vincent II http://www.millfieldstud.co.uk/vincentII.htm to lighten a slightly old fashioned Demonstrator mare and that foal is doing very well in the show ring
I am using Sempers Spirit on the same Demonstrator mare this year as again he is lighter type than Ringo and also using him on a Trakehner mare http://www.unitedcolouredstud.com/sempers.htm
Camaro is a popular coloured WB on the continent. He has a homozygous son standing at www.gestuet-falkenhorst.de who is available in the UK for AI this year. His name is Chess.
TomTom is still available in the UK and proves to be a very uniform breeder out of several types of mares. And all foals are coloured offcourse. He will only produce bay and white or black and white foals.
TomTom produces size. All foals will be bigger then their mothers. He is 16.3 himself now and not finished growing yet.
Sacha you probably have heard of Limbo through his sons Copabell Visage bred in Belgium and now competing and standing at stud in Australia and The Whitakers mount in 2006 Nepos van Limbo that sadly passed away just when he was doing so well.
I have heard of some of his offspring (looked him up on del mar) but it seems form their website that he is also the sire of Nureev who the whitakers also jumped?
