Ok, I'm suffering from a cross between insomnia and strong coffee... Why oh why I drink coffee when I am unable to sleep I will never know:rolleyes:

So, I was just thinking, as you do, showing, coat colour etc, I was viewing a post in which there is another lovely skewbald but it is a dark rich chocolate bay... Not rusty nail bay, and I thought ooh, that looks smart, I wish Ben's coat was that colour! So I scurried off onto the t'interweb and started to research supplements... Came across paprika and some before and after pics from other forum users:eek::eek: wow! Makes a difference! But then I came back to here, looked at my sig and thought, oh but he does look nice the colour that he is...

Sooooo! Does coat colour make a difference with coloureds, if everything else is equal, would a skewbald with a darker bay coat be placed above a horse with a coat colour like my boys? I know it's a randomly weird question, but I know that things like this can make a difference... What to do, what to do?!

Coffee for you if you got this far x

I answer to your question 'markings' are the last thing to be judged in a coloured class, so doubt colour of bay would ever come into separating two. ;)

But as showing is all about impression a good coat does make a difference. I like a good depth and shine to a coat not a faded one, thats why I rug & feed linseed, seaweed is also good to keep them dark. Markings that enhance the conformation are good too :)
So do people prefer skewbald or piebald ;)
