colouring for hunt jackets

hiya does anyone know the correct name and wear to buy colouring for green hunt jackets mine is going to need buffing up soon so could do with finding some.

Do people do that? I'd leave it TBH unless it's really faded. Faded Rockwood green in better than not the right colour!

Never Pink (that was the name of the tailors, not the colour of the fabric) - Scarlet or Red please.
The only way I know of refreshing colour is to put it in the washing machine with a dye. That, I do not think, would work very well with a Wool Hunt Coat as it would shrink.
As long as it still keeps out the rain, far better to leave it alone. Otherwise, just take it to the local dc and ask for it to be "reproofed".

Dad has some rockwood green dye that I'm pretty sure he won't use again if you want me ask- he never did the whole thing with it though, mainly the cuffs and bottoms..
