colours for pony show bits

we're planning on showing my daughters 11.2hh welsh sec a pony this year ( local level in hand and handsome gelding/cheekiest pony fun classes etc not concentration on m & m classes for which i know he would need plain leather browband) , hes a chestnut with white legs and white blaze. im looking at browbands and matching ties/waistcoat/ribbons etc

so what colours look good with a chestnut ( please feel free to share any pictures of yours!)

im torn between letting my daughter pick colours - most likely to be pinks and purples- or wether to guide her to picking colours that would compliment the pony better!

suggestions please - and any suggestions for cheapish places to buy them from

I use hunter green/black usually, although I did have a gorgeous 'Pretty Ponies' cornflower blue/navy/gold set which looked stunning. I will see if I have any photos
