Can't seem to add a pic of her she's passported as liver chestnut she's bright chestnut with flaxen mane and tail I've recently heard no black tack on chestnuts!? She's in black tack looks lovely and we hate green! We might consider bright green pea green What do you all have your gingers in? & Any pics? Turquoise is lovely on chestnuts, all shades of blue and dark green although you don't like green. Def not red, purple or pink in my opinion.

Yes I never thought of royal blue & it's bright! She's currently in hot pink lol why do so many people say no to red? Am I being blind as think it suits her but she's going to be s/j only clear rounds but don't want her to look silly! What do people think of yellow? Turquoise is nice but I can't seem to find a turquoise stuff only really pricey stuff

I hate red on chestnuts! My boy is bright chestnut and he's been in navy blue and turquoise and looked gorgeous, I loved him in turquoise. Recently I though about putting him in a dark purple because he has a rug in that colour and it looks nice on him, just can't find the right purple yet!

Mine is kind of pinky this time of year when clipped out but has the flaxen mane going on ;) I like her in greens and blues - have left the green out as you said you don't like it OP so this is lemieux benetton blue, lemieux blueberry and eskadron ice :) She looks terrible in red or pink and I don't like yellows ;)

Ours has an orange with turquoise stripes rug from Premier Equine, which actually really suits him (bright chestnut), he also has a red and navy rug which looks great on him, the rest of his gear is mostly shades of blue or mint green. I think it depends on the colour of the horse as to what suits. Pink does not, but purple does.

Red, pink or burgundy either looks amazing or hideous depending on the shade of chestnut!

My two look lovely in all blues, taupe, brown, turquoise, grey (I thought it would look awful but looks smart), and even yellow and orange! Green too, but you say you're not keen on that (lime green is epic on my gelding though!).

Purple and pale pink didn't work on mine. I tried hot pink which was so clashy it worked! Haven't tried red yet though.

i've a friends chestnut here to ride for a while, and she came with brown and gold stuff, and i think it looks lovely on her

Daughter's horse is quite an orangey chestnut, and looks good in blue, dark green and purple. Surprisingly he actually looks good in red too. Youngster is a similar colour and he is currently in turquoise. Neither of these two looks good in pink, but the pony who is a darker chestnut and husband's hunter who is really dark liver, can get away with pink.

They all do a bit of rug modelling as a sideline, so have got lots of pics with them in various colours:
