combi rug rub

My cob has managed to rub out a good third of his mane in his rug despite only wearing it for the last 3-4 weeks. There is a lot of winter to go. Can anyone recommend a good med weight combi ?? with no neck seam that might help?

Just get a rug with a detachable neck, you won't have any problems then.

Would recommend the weatherbeeta freestyle detach a neck.

No I can't sorry. i tried lots of combo rugs of different makes, some with detachable neck covers and others 'all in one' jobs. In the end I decided that only using standard neck rugs and half necks/wugs was the way forward. With my delicate horses it's pretty much a straight choice between using neck covers or them having full manes. I chose full manes.

Not sure if you have tried these, and how well there mane saver works. But I have the bib, and it is amazing, hair grew back under it. they are a little pricy but does work well.

I'm the same. just sold all my combo's and bought various weight standard amigos that I can just pop on a lightweight neck on very worst days

Wugs or half-necks. The only way.

Also, if you are rugging 'cause you have fully clipped your horse, consider clipping less off, especially the neck.
