I was wondering, i have just bought a myler combination bit.
Can you use a noseband as well as the bit?
it doesnt keep their mouths closed but wasnt sure if noseband as well would get in the way because of how it works?
Thanks!!!

No, you can't use a nose band as well. Check out the Myler web site. If the horse's mouth is open, perhaps you are putting to much pressure on the bit & need to use your seat & legs more? A sort of Classical Riding thing?

I use one, and it is very important to fit it correctly and I am sure you have already checked, that teeth are OK? I find it to be a great bit for my sensitive Arab. I use the soft faux leather nose band rather than the hard raw hide.

usually jump in a grackle, pelham not strong enough, gag she doesnt like the poll pressure.
kimblewick also doesnt work.
she goes around with her mouth open if theres no noseband..... its only when a fence is introduced she gets very strong and also hacking. beforehand i hardly touch her mouth but she still has it wide open ect unless noseband is on.
everything checked as well.....
use sheepskin cover on the nose part.
