Hello Everyone,

I have been working hard to get my confidence level up and have decided to start venturing out with my horse to local shows.

This may be a silly question but I have been talked in to doing a combined training competition that is local to us and will be doing the BE 90 Dressage Test 95 and 80cm jumping but my question is will the dressage be done first and then immediately jump a course after? Just asking because I would jump him in a different bit for jumping ....

Sorry if this is a silly question!!

You will be given a set time for the dressage, then either a set time to jump or a range of times to use, it depends on the venue but there should be plenty of time to change tack, put on boots etc and also to warm up properly for the jumping phase.

The ones my daughter has done have had a gap between the two. So you have a dressage time and then I think she had a timescale to do the jumping. So plenty of time to change tack , put boots on and warm up etc.
Hope that helps. Good luck and enjoy.
