I'm toying with entering some combined training next weekend. The test is N22 and it is a qualifier for the Spillers Response Combined training. However, I can't find out anywhere what the SJ will be like (height/technicality etc). could anyone help me with this?
Thankies

It is one round usually quite straightforward and not too technical. Novice - The first two fences will be 3’0’’. All other uprights and ascending fences will not exceed 3’3".

I found the spreads were HUGE when i did the Novice (well they were for me!) and the first couple of fences are 3ft, then they go up to 3'3. It scared me whitless - never again!! (but then im not very brave jumping!)

We did the prelim and novice last year[well Jan this year]he won the prelim but the novice was quite a lot bigger and has spreads out of the double which he didn't cope with. He was only 4 rising 5 and had only jumped about 6 courses before. We are doing it next week as well and have kept him in prelim points to do both again. He has done a bit more jumping but not had enough time to do much, has gone double clear brit nov so hope he will be ok.
See you there

Kat B - we're just down the road from Weston Lawns are there a lot so tend to keep up to date with what is happening. Failing that Equine Affairs website is good for keeping an eye on what is happening!
Carthorse -hopefully see you there! Trying some combined training to try and convince the big grey one that XC doesn't always come straight after dressage and SJ and therefore the SJ doesn't have to be attacked at 50mph. Might be an interesting experiment.......
