Combo Rugs to Fit Short Neck? HELP!

I ma trying to find a Heavyweight TO rug with a neck, but every one i have tried so far comes well over my poor boys ears!
He takes a 5"6 rug in normal rugs ie Light weight TO, Medium Weight Normal neck TO, Waffle, stable and Fleece rugs....... but even a 5"3 in a combo is far too big!

Should I just give up - I dont have a great amount of money to spend, so far I have tried - weatherbeeta Landa, Gallop, Masta, Saxone, and one I cant remembe the name of.

You could try the new Sherwood Forest rugs, they're very reasonably priced and are not too big in the neck, I have a pony with a very short but stocky neck and they've been the best so far, I usually have to fold them under/over.

I was looking into having detachable ones custom made. Can get it for about £30 made to measure.

What about a hi neck, half neck or as ranbo say wug, and they dont tnd to rub out the main!

Yes I have gone for a high neck masta for my boy with a short and thick neck as the full necks are generally too long and too thin
