Comedy competing: Unicorn Medium Debut *pics*

the days where I think the test has gone awful I seem to get amazing scores and then the tests where I think its gone really well I seem to get a 'meh' score. I obviously dont have a clue about dressage!

well done :)

This must have been unaffiliated, sadly some unaffiliated judges just mark way too high.

As someone had already said, accept the high % gratefully, there are enough times when the test goes against you :D

Agreed.

Judges at unaffiliated competitons don't have to be listed judges.

If you find the organisation and judging at unaffiliated so offensive, why not stick with affiliated competition and if you don't want to put results on his record, well isn't that what the 'training' section is for :)

Never said I didn't want them to be on his record. Other online users talk about being unfairly marked down...I am being honest in saying that I got ridiculously overmarked. What is the problem in that?

Saratoga - I intend to go affiliated. I am very much aware that BD judges will provide much more consistent marking BUT that still doesn't change how I feel about this experience at arena uk on the whole :)

I never said you did! Thats why the would 'IF' was there.

You were the one complaining about the organisation and lenient judging (on a public forum, where people can read and comment) I was merely making a suggestion, that 'could' resolve some of the issues you have with show organisation and judging, whatever you choose to do is entirely up to you tho :)

just to jump in an hopefully avoid a blow up-we ARE intending to reg uni-bruce with BD again, but he's having his hocks injected next month, then its comming up to xmas, and nik will be aiming for area festivals next year so cant start to collect sheets for that until jan 2012 anyway, so the short of it is......we WILL be going BD but not until 2012, so just trying to get some more experience in until then :)

totally get that you take a chance with unaff, but this was particularly bonkers!

this is precisely why i hate dressage so much. i really don't understand what the judge is looking for half of the time- when it feels good its apparantly crap and when it feels crap its apparantly good... argh! still with two scores in the 80%s i would retire and frame my sheets and live off the glory for ever more :D

haha! looking tres swish as usual in the piccies :D
