Typical Haflinger conformation with rather loaded shoulder producing choppy stride.Lacking muscle in 2nd thigh.Shortbacked so strong but not always comfortable. Easier to keep weight on. Not as much slope on the croup as is often seen. good amount of bone,nice head, kind eye.One of the nicer Haf's I have seen. You can send her to me ..if you like!!
 
i would be very interested in this have had some bad comments from vets about him and would like other peoples views on him, how do i download a piccy of him??
 
that wasnt the best piccy as he not standing proper so here is one of him being ridden, i have been told he doesnt have very good conformation and he is off work atm with hind leg suspensary ligament problem. Vet has basicaly said he is a rite off because of his conformation. Please any thought would be great and i wont take offence just want to know if the vet is rite.

Isn't Lily a Welsh Section C?

not bad going for a section c then :D i still think she is gorgeous but thats not much help when you want cc is it lol
 
Surely we need to have idividual threads for each horse or it all gets very confusing!
Commenting on the lovely horse on this thread lily not much more to add except I cannot find much wrong and only when being super hypercritical I thought a little straight in the shoulder (although loaded from dorani is more accurate ) and prehaps a little straight in the hind leg although that may be the way lily is standing and the photo.

YES!!! Shows what a **** example she is though!! Don't worry - I'm not offended she has never done well in the show ring anyway - the judges probably think she's a haffy too - still, hopefully she will make a nice PC pony and I will steer well clear of any welsh pony with her prefix in the future!!:)

Yes - we do need separate threads for each horse to avoid confusion...a good reason for having a special Confo Critique sub-forum, maybe? All the individual threads would be gathered together in the same sub-forum, which would become a useful resource and reference point.

I wouldn't say she's a **** example! She has some faults, which have been mentioned already, but also some good qualities, such as a lovely strong back and topline, good bone and substance, nice depth through the girth, big powerful-looking quarters, a cute face, nice expression - and she seems quite balanced and well-proportioned overall.

It would be nice to see better 'confo-shot' of her - this one is taken at a bit of an angle and her head is turned towards the camera, which can distort things a bit.

But she should make a very nice PC pony, IMHO!
 
P.S. As we don't (yet!) have a Confo Critique sub-forum, could the 2 other people (apart from the OP, I mean) who posted horses for critique on this thread maybe start new threads for confo comments on their horses?

It would be really interesting to see critiques of these horses - just too confusing for people to try to critique them all in the same thread!
