I am trying to compile my Christmas list and I would like a new bridle for my girl.

I have a Keiffer Comfort Bridle for best and I love it, my everyday bridle was not a cheapy (about £80) but I can't remember what make it is. Basically its rubbish, it never looks clean/shiney and is now starting to fall apart at the seams literally.

I want another comfort one, what would you guys recommend?

Budget.....£100 - £150

Thank you :D

elevator bridles are really nice and the padding is super soft and they look really smart, even on my fine tb mare.
It cost £120 without reins i think.

I got a heritage one absolute bargain at £50 ish english leather and really well made.

I got given a brown one when i first got my horse and have just got a black one too

I've got a Barnsby 3-in-1 with a comfort headpiece, it is lovely although I had quite a wait for it because I opted for a cavesson & a drop noseband (you get 2 nosebands with it). I guess everyone else must want grackles & cranks :o Cost about £130 I think ;)

Why don't you get another Kieffer?

This one is about £120, so in your budget. :)

im about to get a frank baines... a friend has one and its lovely. but i wouldnt go for the crank option, she has probs with the bit underneath moving.

wow lots of suggestions, thank you.

I did think about getting another Keiffer but I am a bit of stickler for liking something and sticking with it and thought I may try another one that had been recommended, or I know I will end up with 2 identical bridles!!

This is the one I have now

I'll have a look around at the recommendations, thank you

My english leather comfort bridle is made to measure and was less than your budget (and I have fancy stitching on the noseband and browband)! PM me if you would like the makers details x

Agree with this! I love my heritage!

I also have a sabre Cordoba for best, which is amazing for my elephant headed beast

It has got to be Jeffries all the way - their IR is even better than the elevator bridle and the leather is much better quality.

There is one on ebay at the moment for £175 including a bag and I know this is a fantastic deal because I bought mine about a month ago for £215 without the bag and they usually retail for around £250!!!

Personally, if I am feeling a bit skint I would always go for a better quality 2nd hand bridle than rubbish new.

Best of luck - and enjoy the retail therapy...
