Hi, any recommendations to stop rubbing/ chaffing of lady front garden ? - scuse the delicate nature of this post ha! ha!

Teenage daughter is complaining of breeches really becoming uncomfortable to the point of painful. Eek !

She doesn't want to feel like she is wearing a nappy though .....

Dumb question probably, but is she perhaps sitting more on her frontside than her backside? I had the same issue for ages, turned out I was sitting on my *ahem* tender bits more than my seatbones. Haven't had the issue since.

I wear seamfree shorts from tesco - have worn them on riding holidays with +8hrs day in the saddle with no issue
Would echo the above- is she sitting on her ass or perching too much on..er... the front of her pelvis?!

Might not be the aim of the design, but the period underwear I've just bought from Wuka looks ideal for riding! Cycling underwear might be a good idea, too.

Another vote for seamless granny pants from primark. T'other half was amused when he first saw them but they do the job

These are brilliant!

Amber is a big moving horse and after a dressage lesson in which I did 25 minutes of trot/canter with no stirrups I was in agony! I won't ride in anything else now.

Arrived today, thanks to Amazon Prime.

First reaction is very comfy, but they don't hold onto the sticky strip on a pant liner very well, and I need to use them. I've washed a pair to see if it will make a difference and report again tomorrow. I'm a 12 and they say one size fits to 20. I wouldn't risk it above a 16, I don't think.

Any suggestions for men?

I asked one of my male instructors about this about this a few years ago, and he didn't have any advice. I've not changed my underwear since, just the same as I wear for the rest of the week. I suspect that it is simply that my position has improved, and that has solved the discomfort I had before.

Do not recommend lace knickers. I’ve erm had to cut myself out of them before and it was really painful 🙈 I wear the nude seamless briefs from M&S and I swear by them

As said above, she could well be not sitting totally ‘deep’ and correctly balanced in the saddle, which can be flipping painful if you’re tipping to the front..lessons without stirrups will help, plus ‘trimming’ those hairs a bit so they don’t pull..🙈

Definitely check if she is perching. Like previous, I had this for ages and was so sore- as soon as I sat down right on my butt, it never came back (apart from yesterday when the horse I was riding was all over the place and tipped me forwards a few times - ouch!)

Trust me, there is no better underwear for riding than simple vaseline, liberally applied 😊
Oh man, I cringed so hard at the idea of my nether-regions being caked in greasy, squelchy vaseline! I'd take being sore over that torture
Wouldn't it smear into your pants and jods? Can't imagine how difficult that would be to get out in the wash!
