Red comes home tomorrow after a week of tests for hind limb lameness. It’s cost me a small fortune (though less than my insurance premiums plus excess), I’ve not slept much and have no nails BUT I have answers. She has thickening of the left hind medial branch of the suspensory and likely similar issue on left forelimb (to be confirmed this afternoon after scan) - blocks have ruled out foot. Low grade so thickening no holes etc. I am expecting a full and conservative rehab plan (shock wave apparently not that helpful for branch injuries) but prognosis is overall good. Given I was told I was likely looking at PSD mid last week I am feeling positive. Lots of things discounted following bone scan, pelvis x rays, fetlock x rays, blocking of both left limbs. Lots of rest and then walkies to come!

Glad that it's the least bad scenario. Will she be on box rest or field?
Box rest initially, then box rest with road walking (straight lines) then a follow up scan before next steps. I’ll know more tomorrow when i pick her up. I plan to take it very slowly - shes 11 this year so its long term im focussed on.
