So we are 23 days in and almost at the end of brown boots visit. Its been a steep learning curve for both Armas and me. Armas progress has been awesome his work has been concentrated.
However he has never worked fully from his hind which lead me to organising a osteopath visit on Monday. However as my French is not fluent I ended up with a CranioSacral therapy session ! It was the oddest thing I have ever seen.
However today we started back to work after the cranio session. I had not expected any change in Armas movement. Both brown boots and I were totally shocked about 10 mins in to todays lesson Armas had a much better bigger more powerful strides !
Apparently with this treatment things will keep improving so we shall see how things tomorrow.
I have also organised a visit to the Cade Noire vets tomorrow to carry out some scans just to make sure every thing is in order.

This is a rather longer video sorry, you can see from about 10 mins in his moment is improving. Sorry about the music choice I chose it for all the lusting H&H's lol

Wonderful. I hope all the people who were so critical of the first video are eating humble pie now.
The horse is pretty stunning too!!

I'm assuming that Brown Boots has come from Spain to train Armas and therefore you need to train everyday whilst he is there. Can I ask that if given the time again and if BB was local would you do the same again having intensive training or would you prefer to do double the time but train every other day or any variation so you had time to work through things or absorb the learning in between each session?
I can really see the benefit of an intensive training period to start with and then either regular lessons/training sessions but then wonder if regular blocks (every few months) of intensive training would be more beneficial. Obviously the trainers location has a big impact of what is possible, I'd just like your opinion as I can see that Armas has clearly improved over the time but wondered if you found the intensive training difficult in any way.
I have really enjoyed watching your videos of his training even though I haven't commented before.

Brown boots AKA David as nicknamed by the ladies from H&H travelled up from Spain. Hence the reason we trained 6 days a week, most days twice per day early morning and late afternoon training consisted of the arena work but also hacking out to break things up.
It has been hard work for Armas & me more so him. I don't have an arena at home so it was a case of loading him in to the lorry and travelling a couple of miles up the road. He loads like a dream :)
I am now going to be building an arena at home construction to start in March !
In regards to the blocks of intensive training. I am intending to do another two months more of training starting at the end of April with David it will be slightly less intensive 1 morning arena session afternoon off following day arena am & pm etc. However every thing depends on Armas and how he reacts and how he handles the work.
I have enjoyed the intensive training and found it extremely beneficial & helpful both watching and riding. We were able to do almost as many sessions as I would have done in a year !
I have been asked to organise and run a week long residential clinics with horse & rider & David at the Chateau. Which I am considering may be fun.
Its been an expensive month but has allowed me to achieve some goals. It has shown me the potential of Armas who's potential is sadly limited by me.

I am glad you have enjoyed the videos, I have enjoyed making them even if they were viewed as soft porn by some member ahem

Thank you and good luck in Spain. Which studs are you visiting ?

Was in Spain for the food and wine I am afraid.
I have heard that some horses are being set free due to the economic situation,
Now in Bordeaux to drool at the horses at the International Jumping tomorrow, FEI Driving finals and meet up .
Whats your next step?

Well, I hope I am wrong when I said on your other thread, that I didnt' think he would benefit from the osteopath, he certainly looks a much happier horse than in your first video.
I still don't like his trot, ( at the moment, I'm sure it will continue to improve ) but he has a lovely canter.
Good luck with the vet with him, hopefully it will be nothing more than areas of tight muscle.
Kx
