had my first experience of commentating at a local show yesterday - it was such fun!!! great day, only one faller and not too many eliminated (i let them carry on anyway - see, nice judge!) i enjoyed it so much, i just wondered if anybody knows how to become a BSJA commentator?

Did you find any "Tongue Twister's" of horses names?

we had The Ginger Ninja, (who won 2 classes) and a couple of ponies who were short legged, shaggy and poo stained with 20 syllable names which would befit a classic winning racehorse!

LOL

the nicest horse i saw all day was a great big coloured warmblood, about 16.2, very smart, class of the field, and his name was Wally!!!! Then another girl came in and i didnt have her number, so asked her wat her pony's name was, she said 'Sunny', and i said, oh, im sorry, you're not on my list, and she said it was her brothers pony, she was taking his place! but when i found her bro's name, the pony was called something like 'Millways Golden Springwalk'.......and she said, yep, thats him!!! i got very confused lol!

Our college held a small show and several of us did the commentating.
Unfortunatly it was the majority of the girls who had nothing good to say about any horse other than their own and half of the time they didn't turn the switch off so what they were saying was heard by everyone!

I find it very amusing when horses have a long posh name and the actual horse looks nothing like you imagined!

Glad you had fun!
