Common Ridings

I'm from the Scottish borders and every year there are lots of large group rides that go out in various villages/towns round here called common ridings. Are we the only ones to have them? Have you ever ridden on one? What were your opinions of them? I'm planning to go on my first one this May

Hi guess there is not that many of us doing the common ridings thing where are you guessing in the borders thats where i am which one are you doing in may is it the bounds in Berwick thats the first one,do get in touch i am going to a few would be happy to meet up and ride round if not berwick then would have to Hawick they are good fun you will have a good time do let me know and what else you are going to in borders.
