It was the lad's first competition :D. D1 has done a few, but it was her first one with him.

He's an ex-racer. Had a few issues. Had to learn that the world is a good place to be, which he has, beautifully :D :D. Just started to work nicely in the school, and when he gets going really has paces to die for :D. The judge called him 'elegant', which he is indeed :D :D. He was a tad on the quiet side and not as off the leg as usual, but far better to be chilled like that than whizzing off like a whizzy thing :D

The test was Prelim 1. No idea where they came, not placed, but they had just such an excellent time the score is academic :D

He was an absolute poppet :D :D. Loaded well, travelled well, didn't stress when the Dizzy one went away, loaded brilliantly for the trip home.

Onwards and onwards with the New Lad (not so new now, but I like the name ).

Well done, D2! They do cut a good figure together, if I may say so! :D

And well done, too, to you, MrsM. :D

I did see your post yesterday about yours and the Dizzy one's foray into competition land. Sadly, as I must have just about the world's worst internet connection, my reply to your post was lost in cyber space........;):D

Thank you :D

And very sorry, I put D2 when it should have been D1 (I've changed it now). Y'just can't get the mothers these days....:eek::cool:.

Yes, poor lass, looks very much like me - or rather, very much like I did a zillion years ago :D

He was beautifully calm :D. Had a bit of a spook at the flapping haylage bale covers (just outside the arena), but this is the horse that hacks out with big, big wagons going past him only a few feet away and doesn't turn a hair :D

Thank you :D. The Dizzy one did do grand :D

Well done to both of them. He does look lovely. I always think that the most important thing is they behave well in their first outings. World beating can come later, lol!

Lol, you are so very right :D. Today, stay in the arena; tomorrow, the world! :D

Oh, and as a total aside lass, my Equilibrium magnetic back pad has arrived! :D:D. They've changed the shape slightly, hence having to wait, but it's here now and I get to try it on the neds this afternoon :D:D:D
