Compact Yards - Advice & pics please?

We're in the process of buying a house where we would like to put in a small, compact yard of 3 stables and a tack room.

I'd like to have a fenced yard around it so the horses can have the run of the yard (individually sectioned) and stable when the weather is at it's worst.

My initial thoughts are for an 'L' shaped block so my 17.1hh can have a slightly bigger box on the end but it would be great to see other peoples yards and ideas if possible?

Haven't got any photos of our yard but think your plans sound ideal. We have a large concrete area outside our stables which is fenced off and it's a godsend when the weather is really bad. Ours live out 24/7 with free access to their stables but when it's rained constantly for hours and hours we yard them.
