Companies that don't use Evri

Please could anyone tell me which equestrian companies don't use Evri as a courier service?

I ordered a rug and some wellies from Naylors in the sale on 27th December and contacted them when nothing turned up after 8 days.
They told me that the entire order had been 'lost' by Evri. The wellies were out of stock but they re-dispatched the rug last week. It looks like that has now been 'lost' too.
Another company - I've been waiting two weeks for Evri to deliver the thing.

Over November and December, Evri 'lost' over half of the items I'd ordered from (non-horsey) companies, most of which were Christmas gifts. It's incredible, especially as Royal Mail, DPD and Yodel have had no trouble delivering stuff.

I've wanted an anatomical bridle for some time and saw the one I wanted in the Kramer Equestrian sale. It arrived from Germany within five days. So Evri have got no excuse as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, I still need a rug for the cob so if anyone can recommend a company that doesn't use Evri I'll be most grateful! Most I've seen don't admit to it.

I agree. I suppose I should have asked Naylors who they used but the rug seemed like such a good buy and the wellies were a bargain. Goodness knows where both rugs and the wellies are now!
I've used Naylors in the past and they used Royal Mail - it looks like they, and a number of other companies, have gone over to Evri fairly recently. I can only think it's because it's cheaper for the company. But in the long run, losing customers isn't good for anyone's business.

Bareback Footwear don't use Evri - I got my boots within three days of ordering. I actually thanked them for not using Evri!

I know that some people have had trouble with the Evri drivers but for us it's the fact that most of the stuff just gets lost and never arrives.
 
I have had no issues sending or receiving with Evri.

All companies seem to dump on doorstep, despite being visible from road.

I did have something delivered by Evri on behalf of Royal Mail which seemed a bit odd.,
 
Evri never deliver anything to mine, I have zero trouble with anyone else. I also contact companies to ask who they use if its not clear and politely explain I won't be ordering from them because of Evri.

I swear they make half their profit by "loosing" stuff and selling it on ebay/online
 
I’m having a similar issue with a company using FedEx. Got all my Christmas deliveries no problem. I work from home so all should be good. FedEx has registered it as lost and now I’m in a debate with the supplier who currently seem to think it’s up to me to sort with fedex, not overly happy. I think it steams from Covid when it now seems acceptable for delivery people to just dump the parcel somewhere outside without even attempting to ring the door.

Interesting not had an issue with Evri really.
 
By chance, I watched an Evri 'delivery' to the various delivery locals - horrified tbh. The parcels were dumped on the grass, on the surrounding pavements, all over the place , whilst drivers grabbed them and stuffed into assorted cars and vans. All the while it drizzled, damping everything. Ridiculous way to treat the parcels but an eye opener as far as the company works is concerned!
 
My Naylors delivery was deemed lost but after complaining to Evri it was delivered today! Naylors sent out a replacement so now that needs sorting when/if it arrives.
We used to have a good Evri driver but he's left and the new one doesn't seem to like the delivery part of their role!
 
I have had the same problems as everyone else with the dreaded evri. Hate them but it is often difficult to see if they are the carrier. I asked and paid for next day delivery on one item but the carrier was Evri and it didn't arrive.
I get a lot of stuff from Redpost Equestrian NK and it usually arrives very quickly. They have a wide selection and that is who I would suggest. They are also quick on the phone if you wanted to double check.

It's funny how often Evri find their "lost" parcels after a complaint.

One of my problems is where they deliver. Our house name is on our gate and the gate is visible from the driver's seat so absolutely no excuse. They deliver somewhere, I look at their picture and then it is a case of find the property. Most places around here are built of granite and most granite porch walls look very similar. Learning to recognise the stonework is my new game. :rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Yep, I have had Evri problems. Had a delivery from M&S supposedly delivered. Got in touch with M&S. They had a photo of delivery place which I had not been given. It was a large brambly hedge with a field behind it. Could have been anywhere in the country! They resent vis Royal Mail.
I have found if I request Evri parcel goes to locker in nearby village I have more chance of it turning up.
 
I’ve not had a problem with Evri since they had a female driver. This time it was a male and had lots of problems, finally it was delivered yesterday while I was out as the tracking info didn’t even say it was out for delivery and it was supposed to be delivered on Monday… to add insult to injury he put that it was handed to the resident which was an absolute lie …. I let the supplier know I was not happy and have now decided to use a different supplier and hope they don’t use evri…
 
Evri are completely useless around here, as are Amazon. We have lived here over five years, have a w3w as the second line of our address, but no Amazon dump stuff a couple of miles away, in an elderly lady’s porch.

Everything I order, from anyone, I now get sent to the local PO or pick up place.
 
Our Evri chap is very good, as is Yodel- DPD on the other hand are awful in our area. I now just request all DPD parcels are delivered to the post office, which irritates me, as I'm pretty sure that's what they were trying to achieve by deliberately providing a poor service and forcing people into doing a 12 mile round trip to pick up a parcel rather than them having to do their job.
I do try and avoid DPD wherever possible, but some companies don't have other options for delivery.
 
I can guarantee anything that is delivered by evri here is always a day later than they say, we are due something today but I'm sure it will turn up tomorrow, we always seem to get a late delivery time do I think the driver just can't be bothered to come out to us so late.
 
With us, it's not the driver that's the problem - it's that things seem to get 'lost' before they get to the stage where they are out for delivery.
They even 'lost' something belonging to one of the delivery drivers!

In the past 6 weeks they have supposedly lost - from our household alone:

- two gift boxes from David Austin Roses
- a package of cosmetics/make-up (gifts for my daughters)
- two bottles of fabric cleaner/conditioner
- a set of dumb-bells
- a pair of wellies
- a Wetherbeeta rug
- the replacement Wetherbeeta rug for the one that originally went missing
- a large package from Rowan Yarns (for knitting)

This is ridiculous.
Everyone round here has the same problem. All other couriers and Royal Mail are great.
I will now have to ask companies who they use before I order!
In the meantime, the cob is still without his new rug. Naylors have said that if it isn't delivered by tomorrow they'll issue a refund. Presumably they have to claim this on Evri's insurance?
 
I have had problems with Evri. I bought something on eBay and the item has been at the “senders local depot” since 7th January. Clearly they’ve lost it.

I have also had two instances of Evri delivering to the wrong house, which does have the same house name, but it’s on a different lane and post code.

Redpost Equestrian have various different postage options, and I’ve never failed to receive an order in a timely manner from them.
 
We have similar problems with Evri, whilst other couriers are great. The most recent was claiming they had attempted delivery (whilst we were in) and uploading a blurred photo of some tarmac!

It really annoys me when it is suggested I use a shop drop off or a locker - I paid for delivery to my house, not to get in my car and drive 5 miles each way to collect the blooming thing!
 
If a company uses Evri then I just get it sent to work, the regular chap is great. I do try and get 'office hours only, no safe place' added to delivery notes..
Other staff use work too. Cctv on doorway, large sign stating no items can be left on doorstep.

Home is only 2 miles away but the one that delivers there is dreadful.
