So my current companion for my horse will have to go back to his owners as he is bullying my horse so badly and not only causing many bites and sores to him that he is trashing his rugs. I am not able to keep them seperated and my horse is really getting down about it and its costing me a fortune in rug repairs/replacements.

I would be looking for something between 14-15.2 which is retired, I have all year turnout although during the winter turnout can be restricted to the yard and sand school during the day when its really wet and muddy. I stable at night. Required companion would neeed to have a kind gentle nature that is happy to be left alone when we are off at shows, etc. I would look after completely but would ideally I would like a small contribution towards costs each month, this is the agreement I have with the current companions horse but do you think this type of situation/agreement would be sort after by other people needing to rehome a horse suitable as a companion.

I expect that you would find something, but just as a thought - there was an add in my local horse mag saying that the rescues are ALL close to bursting - could you maybe take something from there?

As above, the BlueCross are saying in your horse (or other mag cant remember) that they have larger companions 15 hands ish needing homes. They costs of vacinnes etc is covered by them for companions I believe.

Shame you wouldn't consider my 13hh rising 2 black filly! :p

Sweetest and most gentle of natures and so laid back. Just finding I'm not giving her as much attention as the darling needs!

(Got 2 I'm backing and breaking at the moment!!)

I would jump at it!

Shame my retired boy has to be out 24/7! But I am tentatively looking for a new home for him, because the field he's in is so isolated and he's bored, I would still be looking to pay all his costs and a contribution towards grazing (livery if it's on a livery yard), so you should have no trouble finding someone!

I am looking for a companion horse no luck at all. I have looked on the Blue Cross website, they dont show many there but they are too far away from me anyway, the transport would cost a fortune! Could you try Brownbread Rescue they are in Sussex somewhere
