Would Bransby not give you one of their pure companion ponies for now if you agreed to swap it for a lead rein pony when your grandson is old enough?
Given you already have a relatonship with them the whole home check thing shouldn't take the time that another charity might need.
The view is that for the horse's welfare they don't want to swap them around so if I took a pure companion horse that would be seen a permanent loan. The home check thing isnt the issue and they are trying to sort me a lead rein shettie and small pal it's just that I'd have to wait for the ringworm to clear up before they can be released hence needing a temporary companion for breathing space.
