Moved my boy yesterday and was supposed to meet his new friend at the field but his owners canged thier mind at the last minute and now I have a loopy stressed out pony... (He has lost his girlfriend and moved house in one day so I don't blame him, but he's not the sort to cope on his own!)

I'm in Oakley, near Thame in Bucks.

If anyone has or knows of anything please let me know.

Many thanks!

have you called the Blue Cross at Burford? They have many non ridden companions needing homes. I would lend you one of our minis but I am paranoid they will get stolen as they are so liftable!

Thank you for your replies,

I will call the Blue Cross - I'd forgotten they were in Burford - still learning the area...!

Thanks amymay, have sent her a pm.

Adgetom, where abouts is your friend? What type is the mare? Age, etc. If it's easier to pm me a number feel free and i could call after i finish work at 5.30.

Many many thanks!

Adgetom, scotland is a bit far for me I'm afraid but thank you anyway.

Immybrook_stud, I used to live between Bristol and Gloucester so don't think you're all that far... What's the best way to get to you and I can try and work out timings etc and let you know if that's ok?

Thanks!

How long do you need a companion for? I have a 13.2 gelding who I need to either loan out as a companion or find a seriously talented rider as he is too tricky for the average child and as he is now 18 it might be easier to retire him.I would want to retain ownership and would happily have him back in the future, but I don't want him to come back half way through the winter!

I could bring him over in the next few days if you can give me some further details on the other horse and how you keep them ie out all day, in at night, whether you beat them daily or just weekly
