Situation normal
From a thread earlier this month - so why not just tell the livery you haven't the space and put your old pony in the new stable?

But you bought another horse in June![]()
You mention there is another pony you could leave out to be her buddy... How about 3 come in at night and the pony and her buddy stop out... Then during the day they come in and the other 3 go out??
So no extra stables needed and all horses get some time in and out with friends??
I CAN NOT BUILD ANOTHER STABLE!!! NOT AN OPTION!
The yard is not fenced off so she cant be turned loose, i tried putting electric fencing around the yard so she could be in at night but it didnt work as its all gravel so wasnt sturdy enough.
one of the girls who is sharing a pony is paying for my hay shed to be converted into a stable for the pony she is loaning.
The four horses I have stabled need to be stabled, one gets mud fever, one gets cold, one has an enormous amount of hair that i need to keep on top of and the other could be turned out but this would mean the pony and the companion both standing in a bog day and night as i dont have enough land to keep them dry there also isnt a field shelter, only a wooded area for them to shelter.
.
''''At the ned of the day, although a last resport, this country is over run with unwanted horses and a fairer decision on the pony is to PTS rather than get rid free to an uncertain fate.''''
this is exactly my point, maybe I am looking for you all to say its ok and the best for her in the long run. she has had a good enough life so far and i wouldnt want that to deteriorate.

I have suggested a possible option...
I was hoping for more of sanctuaries
or if there are people with lots of land who take ponies in etc where she can live out in a herd or something.
Have you had a definite decision from the neighbour that she doesn't want to keep her? I just wonder if (and I mean this kindly) you're stressing over a situation that might potentially happen, rather than what's actually happening. You said in your first post that she's settled and looked after at the moment so is it likely that she'll come back to you over the winter?
