An SOS to anyone in the Lichfield/Burton/Derby areas!!
My friend who keeps her elderly gelding over the drive from my girl has suddenly found herself without a friend for her boy after the 3year old out with him has had to be taken inside due to a huge hind foot abcess and lateral lamness (ouch!!).
Her lad (a TB) cant cope with being alone and is freaking out - Melly cant go out with him as she will bully him off his food - and so she urgently needs a pony/horse/donkey to be out with him.
It is a large well drained and fenced field with good hedges, although no field shelter (bare in mind that a 26 yo TB is wintering fine out there with a good rug) ad lib excellent quality hay and hard feed once or twice a day as needed.
My friend has a hunter coming April time to summer out with the old guy, so if someone is in a pickle short term then this would be ideal.
Please PM me if you/someone you know has a lawn mower who has run out of grass or needs a home for a couple of months!
