£60 per month DIY for stable and grazing - field to himself.
Straw £1.50 hay £3 per bale
Only charge £1 per turnout
Sandschool (frozen at the mo)
Jumping paddock
Cross-country course
Not posh but very friendly with lots of knowledgeable owners
12 quid per week grass livery with access to field shelter and a round pen for lunging - own field which must be poo picked. CCTV on yard. YO offers to feed, plus other small jobs for very small charge. Road hacking only plus some permissive bridleways locally.
I pay £140 per month which includes large stable, field (with 2 others) all year round, haylage and straw. We also have three arenas, only indoor accessable at mo, and good hacking. Sounds great on paper but annoying when at least one of the schools is knee deep in water for six months of the year (or ice at present). Still, better the devil you know...
tote the turkey ,, i think you get a very good deal!
ive got floodlit school, indoor stabling, all year turnout, and 200acres for hacking.. for £20p/w.. in our area that bl**dy good! The yard we came from was £30p/w for school stabling and turnout with average hacking.. which i thinks quite pricey!!
Thanks guys, just interested to see for other areas!

Was my old yard - loved it but moved cause of the school, needed one that didnt freeze/flood
!
New yard - £75 per wk
5 day part livery (so all jobs done, turnout/in etc i dont need to go down monday friday. Weekend turn out/in feed and haylage done for you rug changes etc so i just muck out and ride)
All feed, hay/lage and shavings included and lovely friendly yard. 250 acres of off road hacking and a large floodlit school with great surface so not frozenl. stable huge with rubber matting and automatic water feeders/hay racks and a feeder, great fields turned out in pairs/individually
£42 per week DIY but includes shavings and haylage. Turnout (usually all year), Indoor School, Beach hacking 10 mins away. Friendly folk, easy to switch to full on the days you need it.
Farm 5 mins from my house (used to keep my youngsters here):
£3 per week, per horse. Use of 3 stables, totally DIY, own field. Hay £2 per small bale, straw £1 per small bale. No hassle at all but no facilities to speak of.
Where I was:
£125/month including haylage in the winter (£1 per net in summer), also included turnout and bring in during the week but you had to pay for rug changes. Had large outdoor school (but unfortunately very deep or it would have been AMAZING), direct access to bridlepath, hay fields to ride around, rubber matting in stable, own space in feed room and tack room. All year turnout but limited hours in the winter, 24/7 in summer.
Where I went:
£15 a week including shavings, hay £18 per big bale or £2.50 per small bale. Small paddock and stable and that was it.
Where I am now:
In winter £36.50/week for stable, adlib hay/haylage and lorry parking. In summer £24.50 plus hay. Have indoor school, outdoor school, all year turnout, direct access onto path, turnout and bring in available. So far very happy there and over the year it works out to not much more per month than Yard no. 1.
