I need to get my big horse going again (long story, summary: I bought to re-break as had bit of traumatic start, good as gold to lunge, long rein, lean over, etc. Mounting now fine, started riding on a bit, perfect. 4 weeks ago spooked and scared himself then reared/plunged resulting in me staying on but breaking pelvis- hence out of action til at least April!)
So, I need someone, preferably male or bigger female rider (he's 17,1 ID x TB and I'm nearly 6ft so dont want little jockey) who will come out to the yard, I cant move him again as settled and had been pushed from pillar to post before me. Dont need to be particularly into dressage or anything, just general education for him at this stage.
I'm hoping will be fine again, needs to start from scratch for week or two first and play it by ear. Obviously needs brave and experienced professional as cant risk injuring anyone else. We have good school, lunge pen and tracks to start hacking on.
Most importantly needs sympathetic rider as he isnt naughty- just scared of what rider will do and because he trusted me had been an angel until he was spooked that day so dont want someone heavy handed.
I did have someone lined up but cant get hold of him now, have one chap I have in mind but would like suggestions. We are near Moreton Morrell and I want someone 3-4 x week until at least end of April, possibly, depending on how he comes on to take to little show or clinic at that stage too.
