Competetor telling all and sundry to f off

IMHO it is a pity Munstead's organisers have not named and shamed the rider as she might just learn that actions have consequences especially as the organiser said "she has form for similar behaviour"
They havent named and shamed, but have circulated to the other local comp centres that have requested. No need to give out publicly, there were many locals there that saw/heard it all.

Munsted is one of the best to help out at, all volunteers are treated v well, I've picked up schooling vouchers for fence judging. The courses there are well looked after, fences moved often and tracks rearranged.

If that had been me as a child or young adult, I’d have been pulled off the pony by my hair and it would have been up for sale before it had even been loaded back onto the trailer. Where were her parents whilst she was behaving so rudely?!

And all credit to the venue for rising above and refunding the mother, I used to be on the committee of an unaffiliated rising club and I’m not sure I would have been so accommodating. Despite it being the correct thing to do.

Good volunteers are in short supply, I’m pleased to see them being looked after.

And the food 😁

Why do you think refunding the Mother was the correct thing to do? Is it stipulated in the Ts and Cs of entry? IMO giving the refund appears to absolve the Mother from taking responsibility, if the bad behaviour in question was from a minor

No idea about T&C of this particular venue. But it gives the organiser the moral high ground and doesn’t give the child/parents any scope to complain.

One the one hand it's shocking and on the other the article is hilarious 🤣 I'm crying laughing 🤣
I confess the detail of 'nearly took out someone's mother-in-law' made me chuckle. Appalling behaviour, though and good for the venue acting on it. Far too much of this going on in general. I live where the major diesel spillage happened in Surrey and a number of locals were abusing the highways staff working around the clock to resurface the roads! It's disgusting, and meanwhile the same morons wonder why nobody wants to do anything public facing anymore!

I'd be selling the child. It would have been walking home. The horse would have got a ride in the lorry on it's way to the sales.

how on earth could the mother ever crawl out of her shell of embarrassment to accept any refund.
Something tells me that maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

I know a child ( well would she abiut 18 now) like this and the grandmother makes excuses for her foul mouth and temper all the timez even when she is beating the poop out of her horse. Has been asked to leave quite a few local yards esp when people have called her out on her behaviour....she wants to go pro SJ 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

I've tried numerous times to put together a reply about this obnoxious competitor and their mother.

For once, words really do fail me.....😡

I smiled at the ‘nearly taking out someone’s mother-in-law.’ How did the reporter know? Why mention that? It’s like a mumsnet parody. The child’s behaviour is appalling, however. Hope he or she is blacklisted in the whole area.
The person who has the ‘someone’s MIL’ ie the DIL, posted on Munstead’s original post with those very words. There are spies in our camp 😉😀

On the original post by the venue a few people who were there stated that apparently the rider is known for her poor attitude not helped by her parents who have made her believe she can do no wrong. I have no idea who she is but am pleased that other venues and BE/BRC have been made aware of her name.
