Hi sorry if this isn't in the right place but nearly 6-weeks ago i bought a 4year old sec D stallion with the intention of gelding asap, even strsight away but under guidance i refrsined and am keeping to when the weather is cooler.
He is an abdolute dream under saddle, well mannered and responding well to schooling, he is not your normal/stereotypical stallion he's so lsid back hacks out with mares, has them opposite his stable windoe and walking past his stable door.
I want to show him in m&m classes but am worried that once gelded he will only be able to hold his own locally and not get to county etc, not gelding him is not an option long term.
Sorry for the essay, what are peoples experiences.

Mine is larger and a bit light weight and middle aged with wear and tear too. If you're a big 'Welsh' area like I am in you can always bypass local or go to the shows that don't allow stallions, unaff the judges are more likely to be wowed by an entire and not look at the rest of the class. Nothing to say you have to do well at local to go to the county shows. Looks like geldings have qualified for HOYs this year too
