So far this year every competition I've entered I've ended up buying something new for it.

In my case I plead new horse and it's the first time I've competed for a few years.

But does anyone else suffer from this? Will I eventually have enough kit that I can stop doing this , especially as it's bankrupting me?

Sponsored ride this weekend, equals new lightweight waterproof for me and a cooler for the horse.

So I either need therapy or to be made to feel better by hearing you lot are just the same.

oh no you are not alone. I used my first time BE as an excuse to buy new jods, gloves, stock, gaiters, be number, medical arm band (i could easy have borrowed) tendon boots, xc boots, stud stasha, universal bit, spurs.... I am surprised we could afford to go after all that!

You would think that wouldn't you, but I am afraid you then want to upgrade what you have. At the end of the day owning a horse, especially if you compete, is like throwing money into a black hole.

After 7 1/2 years I had everything, and acctually couldn't think what I could buy for the mare, then her baby arrived and has given me a new reason to shop!!!

Shopping is therapy isnt it??
Of course you need to buy something new. Although this weekend is going to be warm and dry, so you might need a new T shirt instead

My first ODE earlier in the year, I went out and bought XC boots and over reach boots and medical arm band. Plus coloured tape for his boots.

I almost, almost, bought new XC colours, but didnt.

I LOVE to shop = esp anything for my ned.
