Slightly confused re the vaccination rules for BRC and wonder if someone could help me!! Pony vaccinated end of January 2020, but because of lock-down, missed the sixth monthly booster - which is now booked for the 8th Oct. Due to compete at Arena Eventing on the 18th October, but am confused whether she will be vaccinated on time (will be tens days since her booster). Question is, will she be allowed to compete and are BRC showing any leniency over the six month rule given the current situation?

I always thought it was - to be vaccinated within 6 months for competing not have be done every 6 months so long as the rest tie in with yearly and haven't been missed.

So I would say you will be fine.

As above, it's within 6 months, not very 6 months. As you have 10 days clear of the jab before the comp, you are fine.

From 1 March 2020, in order to compete a horse must be vaccinated in accordance with the above rules and MUST also have had a vaccination within 6 calendar months and 21 days (but not in any of the 6 preceding days) of the competition and/or entry to competition stables.
