Just wondering how much time you give yourself at events, I always seem to hanging around or rushing, never seem to get it right!

Say you had walked the xc course already, what time would you aim to arrive if your dressage was at 2.42?

Probably 1.00/1.10 ish I whole arrive for :)

I normally leave 30mins warm up 30mins get ready/tack up and 30 mins for numbers etc with a bit for luck!

If I've already walked xc but need to walk SJ then 1.5hrs. If walked both or time later to walk then hour and a quarter. Tweseldown managed it in an hour but had already lunged at home which cut warmup time in half.

Depends on how much warm-up I need and how far I have travelled etc....

I like to aim to start getting tacked up about 40 mins ahead so by the time I am ready, walked around and ready to start my warm-up of 15-20mins before I go in to do my test. I usually give myself another 30 mins to settle after arrival, visit secretary's tent and loo.

I usually am not able to walk XC on day before as most events 2 hours plus away from me so if my times allow me to do that in between phases then I have to do that before.

If you have someone coming with you, then you can send them to do the seccie bit with your passport and start fee whilst you whizz round the XC and have a nosey at the SJ if time.

I don't event, but for dressage I usually get there at least an hour before my time (it does depend if I have help or not). Pony needs 30min warmup and that gives me half an hour to tack up, get changed, etc. :)

About 45 minutes for local dressage - fifteen minutes for number and tacking up etc, on board about thirty minutes before the test.

Neddy doesn't take kindly to hanging around, so arriving too early just stresses us both out.

I normally aim for 1 1/2 hours before dressage to allow for any traffic delays and give plenty of time to prepare and get my game face on!
