went to a flyball tournament yesterday and had another great day out. Unfortunately could only take one dog as the lab has just had an op to remove a lump. (she is OK. It was benign.Thank goodness)Mind you she was most put out that she couldn't compete-she kept giving me such looks! I'm sure she was jealous of the other dog having all the fun and attention. The Team won, just one of those perfect days when the dogs and handlers all got it right, but my goodness was it cold and windy. the event was in a marquee which was blowing a bit, but the dogs weren't phased at all.
Just one more tournament now and one display this year then I'll have weekends at home. How boring!!!! I'll have no excuses not to do the housework!!!!!!!

Well done

Could you not use training as an excuse not to do the house work? That's what I do with the agility to avoid any work LOL

Congratulations on winning!!

Do you use a collie for the flyball?

It fascinates me to watch it at Crufts, the dogs must absolutely love it.

Hi. No I have a cross breed dog and a Lab. There are all sorts of breeds which do flyball. In one of our teams we have two miniature poodles and an English Bull terrier. Obviously some are faster than others but your teams are put into divisions according to the seed time of your team so you are on a "level playing field" as they say.
