I've seen quite a few of these advertised lately and have been looking at getting my sister one for her birthday (seen as she's often "grooms" for me and seems to always have to be going back to the Lorry).
So what's the best make/model? I like the ones where they have an attachment for the hat and stick but ideally want one with some outside pockets. The GPa one seems nice but no way am I spending that much😳
Under armour seem to do a nice one but only available in the US?
Recommendations or alternate ideas please :-)

Good grief - what a waste of money! (Sorry!!) I'd not heard of these before but basically its an ordinary back pack with a horse company's name on it. And the ones with the pouch for the hat on the outside - I would really worry the hat would get knocked and damaged stuck on the outside like that. The first time you put it down and a horse knocks it or stands on it... bye bye hat.

I absolutely see the point of having a back pack (although don't put it down or you risk loosing everything at once if there is someone light fingered about!) But just go to your local outdoor center and get one. Far cheaper!

I have to echo the sentiments of Shay above. This is a total waste of money, £50 for a ruck sack with an equine logo on it? Don't line the pockets of the makers because they are taking the mickey!

If you must have a ruck sack buy one from somewhere like Sport Direct & save a fortune.

To save money always consider buying from somewhere other than an equestrian outlet as things will generally be MUCH cheaper.

Oh I I totally understand that the equine ones are a waste of money, like most things there usually a cheaper variation that does exactly the same without the equine company logo on as you say. Hence why I want another option for a good backpack! Didn't need to be expensive as not spending a fortune on something that's going to get covered in hay etc. Just want one good wearing with plenty of space and pockets as the one she has is small and a little impractical. And yes that's an excellent point with the hat being attached to it didn't think of that :-)

Honestly a grooming bucket is easier. We've been competing for years. It will get full of hay/dust/hair and get grotty. A bucket is far easier to tip out and clean!

Thanks everyone, was posted by a freind (who I let post as me as wouldn't listen when I said get a bog standard one!!!) and has informed me that after everyone saying the same has just got her sister a (much cheaper and practical) backpack from an outdoor shop as suggested!!
