Competition Breeches for tall girls

I'm 5ft 9 and I'm having real trouble finding comfortable competition breeches.

I find that I have to pull most pairs right up to the bottom of my hip...then the velcro round the bottom is just under my knee and digs into the top of my riding boots...then they spin round and I end up with rubs on my knee against the saddle!

Help! Anyone got any suggestions.

Pikeur all the way - pricey but a good cut, wash really well and fit us tall girls really well - I am 6'2 flat foot, so if they fit me they should easily fit you!

HAve you tried pikeurs? They come up waaaaayyyy to long for me, even the kids ones! But them I am a short arse!

im 5"7/8 (not really sure!!!) and eurostars fit me really well, worth a try

I'm 5'9" too and I find Harry Halls are the best length wise. Even the "regular" length is quite long (down to my ankles) and will buy the reg length if there aren't any tall lengths available.

Second that, I like the toggi breeches and have a very log inside leg.

Pikeur or Cavallo all the way. I'm not quite as tall as you but I have really long legs - and they are fantastic

Eeek I had a feeling the suggestions were going to be expensive ones- thanks....off i go to the tack shop armed with credit card but my will it be worth it for my comfort!

Another vote for toggi, I'm 5'11 and they fit well

Just make sure that you get the 'long' ones if you go for Pikeur or Cavallo.

They are lovely breeches and worth every penny but I'm 5'7 and the regular ones are too short!!

I only wear long Pikeur breeches, worth every penny! I have 2 pairs of the denim ones (one is high waisted and I wish I had bought the others high waisted too as the 3 button design makes you sit up!) and I have white ones for competing.

ETS I wear jods for hunting, Gorringe ones as they are the most comfy for long days in the saddle!
