I have managed to rub a hole in the seat of my lovely mountain horse breeches so need a new pair asap. I don't have any to wear on saturday.

Can anyone recommend me a pair which look smart, come in cream or beige (not white, I'm too fat hence rubbing a hole in the last pair! ) and don't cost more than £50. I know I'm asking a lot and I'd love a new pair of mountain horse ones or pikeurs but I'm a bit poor this month as have TWO vets bills to pay as well as my car tax. Bah!!

I'd prefer not to have knee patches but know I'm not going to get full seat ones for that price unless you're miracle workers :(

Look on e-bay for liquidation station. I got a fab pair of cream high waisted full seat breeches for....£9.99! And you know what....they are just as good as the Pikeur ones I paid a small fortune for!

:D

I can't get fabric details on DH website and I'm fussy. I have their denim breeches and really like them but I want to know what they're made from!! Silly people!

I might be being thick but I can't find them?

How did you find the sizing? Poised to buy a pair on your recommendation, but just wondering if they come up small, or true to size?

Thanks

OOooh im checking these out too... look really good, and at a tenner you cant go far wrong! .....anyone any idea on sizing?

Caldene Belgrave (think that's the name) are full seat and come in cream, beige and a more yellow corn. Just under £50 and very nice. I got my pair from a local tack shop after a problem with a pair from a large equestrian superstore in the NorthWest :)

I was agonising between two sizes and went for the larger, having looked at recent feedback. Someone reported being happy with theirs, but had swapped for the next size up.

I'll be able to report back in a few days

I MUST stop spending money on ebay!!!

Please be mindful of £9.99 breeches from liquidation stock on ebay. I bought a pair of the high waist breeches, they are lovely BUT they are large around the thigh and bottom, so if you are a tall slim build with little hips, they are unlikely to fit well as I now have a pair sat at home that I cannot use :(

Liquidation Station breeches - they come up small! Im usually a size 12 but found these a bit too snug around the waist - well hips to be precise! Would recommend you go up a size ;)

I sent my "too small" ones back and got another pair really quickly - customer service was excellent.

Hope this helps! :D

Hope valley saddlery have/had a deal on the ariat breeches, I bought after a recommendation on here and I LOVE them. I also have the caldenes, also very nice, I bought the kids version of the caldenes (go up to 30 inch waist!) and they are about £30.... They are Jods rather than breeches but my friend altered the bottom!
Ariat ones really flattering though.

Bit late now but just in case you decide you need more in future- just got some Rodney Powell high waist breeches with full seat, (they do biege and champagne) and they're really comfortable and smart- and only....£30 plus £2.50 pp from ebay-hope valley saddlery.
