As the year is drawing to a close (incredibly quickly I may add), it started to make me think about my goals for next year for Grace and Hannah.

For Grace I would like to be competing Medium by the end of 2008 and qualify for the Summer Regionals either Novice or Elementary (and Nationals if possible) for either 2008 or 2009.

For Hannah I would like to get her out to some unaffils, then affiliate her when Grace's is due to be renewed in the Spring... I would like to be doing some Elementary tests on her by the end of 2008.

Has anyone else thought about it?

hi hun

I was going to PM you today - you competing on the weekend?

You know my goals, but i shall repeat them all as im bored

Firstly Bloss:

* to have a healthy mini-Bloss
* to have her fit and hunting next season (08)

Archie:

* Medium & Advanced Medium Winter Music Regionals (08/09)
* Premier Leagues (at Medium and hopefully a couple of Advanced Mediums)
* Advanced by the end of 2008
* Summer Regionals at Elementary and Medium
* Nationals (very wishful thinking!)
* Winter Regionals at Adv Medium

Think thats about it for now!

Well at the beginning of the week my goal was to go medium by the end of next year, however at the moment I just want Patrick to get well and we'll take it from there. I guess to be back out competing at any level would be great by next year.

Hi

My aims by the end of 2008:

To have won money BSJA
To qualify for Regionals in Prelim & Novice (and Nationals would be wonderful too)

Oh, and it would be nice to be able to go round a xc course without having to convince my horse that every(!) fence is not scary!!!!

Aims next year are set pretty low at the moment, but would like to qualify for Trailblazer Sj final, already have 2nd round quals with Zara, try and qualify Spur for same and Millie would like to get her out showing (coloured) and also dressage and qual Trailblazers..............Hopefully this will all come together...

Wow - you lot all have some fab goals, fingers crossed you acheive them.

I would like:

1. to do Intros next year, enjoy them, be placed and even feel I've outgrown them by the end of the year

2. continue improving our SJ and confidently tackle 3.3ft courses

Mine are no where near as ambitious but here goes...

Darcy - just get him settled away from home, no more reversing, napping, bucking... My friend is planning to have a go BSJA on him next spring, however I do want to be doing Prelim and Novice dressage over next summer with a view to going BD next autumn/winter..

Pinky - I want to try an Intro ODE, she will only be 5 next year so the first half will be spent as we are now, schooling, jumping and attepting to do dressage and hopefully we'll be ready to give Intro a go at the end of summer....

Well I had said that Donkey would go off to become a mummy - but I think that might be put on hold for next year as we are having far too much fun (Donkey says speak for yourself

)

Goals:

Keep our Champion Cleveland Bay status

Ride at the Royal again, and get better placed

Keep showing, especially more CB classes.

Start doing some Working Hunters

Start to do some TINY one day events (OMG that involves Stressage

)

To actually get out somewhere! not been out this year as we have 2 at home and can't take one without the other! OH's mare wasn't ready to go out but is going out (after persuasion from Kerilli next sunday)

I'm crossing fingers and touching wood she behaves away from home then I can get out (poss the following week unaff!)

If I do get out to bring him back at BD Ele and (hopefully) fairly quickly onto Med, changes are there so once the rider has got going again Adv Med by the end of next year

Kerilli - what d'ya reckon?

Well, we missed much of this year due to injury, so my goals have been set back a bit, but if I'm allowed to hope, they are:

Summer regionals at Elementary/Medium.
Medium music Winters 09.
Be established Advanced Medium by the end of 08/beginning of 09.

But most importantly, have a sound , happy, healthy horse who enjoys his work.

umm, with the new mare, to get her calm and accepting enough to be able to do the following:
BE a couple of PN followed by a solid season of about 8-10 Novice runs, maybe an Int or two towards autumn if she's exceptional. maybe a CIC* if it's worth it for qualifications, or perhaps a CCI* if i think it's worth it.
BD good percentages at N and hopefully Elem by end of summer.
BSJA start at BN and Disco, hopefully be popping Newcomers happily by end of summer.
i think i'll be very happy if all that comes together!

Well I have just started riding after 6 months off with a back problem so my aims are to gently get myself and horsey back working and fit again. So we can get back out and do some endurance next year as we were before I hurt myself. It is going to be a slow process but hey...we have all winter to go!!!

I would like to be competing affiliated Elementary by the end of 2008 and doing ok at it!

It's over a year away so could be achievable
smile.gif

It would be nice to qualify for Petplan Novice before then too

My aims for 2008 are:

To compete BE on Boo myself, starting at Intro level for a couple of outings, then back to Pre Novice.

To compete new boy BE, again a couple of Intro's for starters then Pre Novice all being well.

I've never had 2 horses to compete at once so I hope I don't regret it

Right ok

Sara - be out competing BSJA again at Foxhunter level

Gadget - either to have sold him to someone lovely or be competing Disc/New BSJA and Elementary Dressage

Sox - Back him also to grade him with the SHB

And the rest to be happy and healthy !!

I would like the crip to stay sound if possible please!
In addition to that I would like my sharer to do some unaff prelims on him
I would like to qualifiy him for Spillars Response at Prelim & Novice, Qualify Summer regionals at Novice, Petplan regionals at Elementary and have a crack at unaff Medium. Plus jump a few unaff open SJ rounds on him. Thats a lot to squeeze in and probably won't happen LOL!

For the baby I would like to qualify 2nd rounds BN, and compete at Little Mattingly 4yo PAVO and Brockenhurst 4yo BYEH

My aim:

Its nothing big, but to click with my pony again and have her progress with the work we are doing.

By this time next year I'd like to be out doing some prelim dressage & getting 'good' scores, doing some UA showjumping and maybe some workers.

Money depending....

Snoopy
Novice/Elementary dressage.
Young horse dressage classes.
BE PN up to Novice, may have a crack at PAVO 6 year olds.
BSJA up to Newcomers maybe? if im feeling brave.
Trying to beat Winston

Winston
Watching FinnMcCoul competing in dressage classes.
Elementary upwards (no pressure
wink.gif

OK this is very simple;
To actually pluck up the courage to take my boy out to some dressage comps! And see where we go from there. It's a big hurdle for me to overcome believe me.......
smirk.gif

My aim is to be jumping double clears at Discovery and maybe attempt some Newcomers.
When the BE season starts, do some PN's then if all goes well by mid season step up to Novice (which does scare me sh*tless
blush.gif
!!! )
Most of all....to have fun and enjoy riding my lovely ginger beast!!!

My main aim will be to finish 2008 and with a happy and healthy set of horses!

In an ideal world Moon will do a few more novices and then move up to IN with a view to going intermediate at some stage later on in the summer. Maybe a CCI*, maybe a CIC** if she really shines!!
May also affiliate her BSJA and tackle some proper newcomers/1.15s

Boss- carry on being happy and settled at Hartpury where he can do a useful job. I may sneakily do a hunter trial or something, just to remind myself what I'm missing
smirk.gif

Mustard- Who knows!! He's to sell on but that never seems to work so if he does an intro or two I'd be thrilled!

Goals for 2008:

The Ginger one - get him under saddle again and see if he can manage being a happy hack without going lame - then find him a nice loan home where someone will love him and hack a couple of times a week.

The New one - re-start her after her winter break, then maby do some fun stuff and young horse classes if all is going well. Main goal is to get her confident in her work and enjoying it - will hopefully have plenty of time to get some rosettes in the years to come!

x

my aim for 2008 is to be out competing BSJA with Bobby with some success, and for Millie, i'd like to be able to manage a whole unaff prelim dressage test (shes a stress head at shows) in the early part of the season, and put her in foal mid season.

Nothing in particular im afraid, if i end up not selling millie then i shall carry on as i have been most probably....but someone is coming bk 2nite for a second view, with another pair of eyes.

Then i guess if she goes il have 2 find something else!!
