Im looking for a competition (full) livery yard in west sussex near chichester (i am in bosham) nothing further away than 45mins really. Needs to be show jumping orientated, look after and exercise the horse during the week and then i will come down and ride him (and take him to shows) on the weekends.

no real budget, so anything really, thanks!

Michael Lonsdale, or Lonsdale equestrian. I haven't looked for their website but they def have a facebook page. My friend used to train with him and he is an excellent horseman, never heard a bad word said about him.

Not sure exactly where he is but I know it's in west sussex and I think it's somewhere close to Coomblands, may be worth a try :)

Have you tried Boxgrove? Good facilities but maybe slightly more dressage orientated. Or Waterloo (think that's what it's called) just outside West Ashling?

Tbh, there's a distinct lack of decent yards full stop around Chi

Ive messaged boxgrove and looked at the Waterloo website. Yeah I know there aren't many good competition livery stables around, i loved crofton manor, but thats DIY so if there was anything like that around but full livery that would be amazing....

There's no where like Crofton this way sadly - am trying to think of places that even offer sj comps! There used to be a livery yard offering full livery behind Oldwick Saddlery, not sure whether they still do though?

FWIW, Lavant House as a yard is a good one. Good facilities, great hacking, indoor school on the way. Although not sure what arena availability would be like on a weekend...

I'll ask a friend on Tues if I see her as she knows the area really well full livery/competition wise if she knows of anything too :)

I used to go to lavant, i don't know if I would be 100% happy to go there again after they didn't listen to me about taking care of my horse when I went away for 6 weeks in the summer.

Waterloo is nice! I'm not there as am the other side of Chichester towards Arundel but have heard good things about it and one of the people who runs it teaches my daughter and I and is lovely.
