Im not sure about everyone else but does anyone else get put off when it takes a week to put the photo's up??

I know they are very busy and its probably a massive job, I dont really know having not been involved with that sort of thing b4.

But having not had the time or the inclination in the pouring rain at Tweseldown to look at my pics I thought I will just look on the web, a week has passed and still nothing! I have another event on Sun and I lose the "want" to see them TBH!!

I know at ones like Grt Tew where the piccies were up the next day I was more inclined to buy one as the event was still fresh in my mind.

Does anyone feel the same or am I just being an impatient whinge bag!!!

I'm the same! I get impatient too hehe. It also puts me off ordering from someone if in the past they've taken 4 wks to deliver piccies. Catchitquick are really good, their photos are up the next day and always arrive 2 working days later. But then it encourages me to order more so it's prob not a good thing actually!

I just would have thought from the photographers point of view they would want them up asap to boost sales, obviously not

No its not just you... it puts me off big time. As you say when you've been to another event you lose the enthusiasm for seeing those pics, and tbh the photographers arent doing themselves any favours... as you are less likely to buy. It also annoys me when they are so slow to deliver... still waiting for Purston pics!!!

Yes, there is a certain high profile event photography website that covers a lot of BE eventing that take forever to get pictures up, and then forever to print them if you do order them!

I was very impressed the other week at a little unaff show, where the photographer had got pictures up within 12 hours of the event finishing - and had managed to take a photo of me over nearly every showjump.

I work in the image sales industry (although not equestrian) and don't understand why it takes so long for material to be uploaded for people to view. Given that a lot of the event photographers have images viewable on the day, it shouldn't take so long.

It puzzles me....

And they definitely do themselves no favours by taken an age to deliver once you've ordered. And the variance in pricing also drives me up the wall!!!

It's annoying me too - on Saturday they said they'd be up on Thursday. I e-mailed them yesterday to ask when they would go up but no reply.

Mind you they always seem slow in comparison to the others - it is very frustrating!

They must sell so many more when they are quick at getting them up on the day. I know i'm much more likely to buy when i'm there and still incolved in the day, especially if it's been a good day.

Once your home and looking online (if they come online!) when the excitment has worn off. Needs to be a very good photo for me to get then.

We left and event last year in appalling weather and when the pics wer not up after 3 weeks I mailed the photographer to find out when they were going up to get a terse response infoming me that they would not be posting them on the site as there was plenty of time to view and order pics on the day!

Holly Jane - Im waiting for the same thing !
I dont get it !
Even though I brought 3 on the day there might be others I like!

I'm waiting for the Tweseldown pics too. I was going buy them there but the rain came again, so I just drove home. Also want to see the allarming ones of my youngster clambering over the log before the water then launching in and me nearly going out the back door!! How can it take sooooo long?! Grrrr.

I also can't wait to see pics.. but then i think everyone is like that!!
However it wouldn't put me off buying anything.. i could wait a year, and if i found a picture that i liked, i'd buy it!!
I don't buy pics cos i've just been to the event and it's fresh in my memory, i only buy the good ones.. therefore if a load of pics were put up the next day, but i didn't like any of them, i wouldn't buy them.. or if i had to wait 4 week, and they were amazing, i'd buy one...
Make sense?
