I've been asked to organise a dressage league for my riding club this year and as part of that I have to organise prizes. The prizes for the past few years have been pretty similar (fleece rug, white numnah, stock, dressage drawing board). I feel the prizes have gotten a little bit predictable so I'd like to mix things up a bit and get creative (so asking on your help!).

We have a slightly flexible budget of €30, €20 and €10 for 1st to 3rd.

Can you think of or suggest any possible good prizes to get?

In all honesty? I much prefer getting a cash prize that I can then use for diesel/future entries and a nice rosette! I don't like physical prizes (unless it's a very nice embroidered rug) as I am fussy with what saddlecloths I use etc!

An alternative view.
I prefer getting prizes in kind, as they act as a happy reminder of the horse/competition whenever I use them.
How about a bucket of stuff; haynet, lead rope, magic brush, hoof oil and so on

I'd prefer a really good rosette and sash. I went to a show last weekend, no prizes as such just amazing rosettes and everyone was more than happy!

As you can see from this thread you can never please everyone - though I've never seen anyone turn their nose up at cash..

agree, but for a league it's nice to have a memento... cash disappears all too easily! I think a sash, snazzy rosettes and vouchers would get my vote :)

I think cash/ vouchers are the best idea because stuff like saddle cloths and numnahs are not one size fits all! Disappointing to win a lovely rug that doesn't fit your horse!

I second the idea of photo vouchers for the event, I got that once and it was definitely my favourite prize I've won. When I won that, they'd organised it so 1st-3rd all got a free photograph and a small cash prize, which seemed to go down well.
