I buy small bales of haylage from Mole Valley for my horse. The first 20 bales I bought this winter were proper ryegrass haylage and the horse loved them.
I have just bought another 15 and they are completely different - far more like hay, far drier and seedy. The horse won't eat it which isn't ideal. What worries me is that the 15 bales all came off the same pallet so are no doubt going to be the same.
I was expecting the same haylage as the last lot of bales I bought - all from the same company who supply Mole Valley. What do I do?!! I can't open every single bale to see if they are the same but def. don't want this kind. I want what I bought the first time round!!
