My filly had a bad abscess in december which resulted in a lot of foot being cut away on the medial side of her hoof. once that was sorted she had plastic shoes on until the hoof grew out and has had them off about 5-6 weeks now.
she came in hopping lame in saturday, vet out etc, is now on danilon and box rest (rubber matting and shavings). Vet thought bruised sole from the hard ground but to get the farrier to check. farrier came out but was stunned to see that since he was last out she has gone very upright!!! He has no idea whats going on. shes 2years old so doesnt think its contracted tendons. she does have a club foot but wev known this for a while.
She had xrays in dec and bones etc were fine but we may repeat.
