Driving or riding?

If its ridden then they are few and far between, tend to be at championships or shows with evening performances.
There dont tend to be ones at normal shows.
 
Yes, it would be ridden, classes. it seems a shame as they are such fun classes! Do you know of any that run them regularly as I've done one and would love to do some more.
 
There's an unaffiliated showing series in Cornwall that started ridden ones this year and had huge entries so clearly a demand!

I've seen them at a few end of year gala type shows, but wouldn't know where to start looking for regular ones.

If you've got the costume, how about doing an online photo show one? Better than nothing!
 
I have always wanted to do it but never ever got around to it, Equifest have a brilliant one and it always has good entries I might try and look into it this year.
 
I hate them! They take forever to judge as all and sundry enter them and the costumes have gone from sedate and what is traditionally required of the class to who has the biggest, flounciest dress, tallest feathers and most bling! Which means that lads stand no hope in hell!

Cortez I have seen lads done up to the nines in every kind of suit/costume imaginable but they can still never beat the girls in their humongous dresses!

My nephew did one. Wore a proper black penguin suit as did his leader with the top hat and cane (kid obvs wore a velvet hard hat) on a spotless shiney black Shetland and still had to stand 3rd behind 2 girls with big dresses on, one of whoms pony did not behave a dot!

I have seen a couple of heavy horse concours where the boys have taken the honours. They have always been serving military personnel riding in full uniform though and my oh my they look spectacular!
